  • Make sure that every part of the application is completed;
  • Ask an adult to proofread your application for mistakes;
  • Ask two teachers to complete your "Teacher Recommendation". You are also required to have a Counselor Recommendation. Applications

Students can find the DECHS application on the front page of the DECHS website. Paper applications are no longer accepted. All students are still responsible for turning in their completed application by the deadline stated above. Please note that without the proper proofs of residency, your application will not be considered "completed". Only certain documents are accepted so please speak with a Counselor if you have any doubts.

Proofs of Residency

Please note that the application requires that you upload two valid proofs of residency (the only items accepted are utility bills except for cell phone bills, rent/lease agreements, mortgage bill, or vehicle/voter registration). Custody papers (if applicable) must also be submitted to the school if the student is accepted.

Information Sessions

Students and parents are required to attend one DECHS Parent and Student Information Session. Session dates and times will be available on the DECHS website. It is the responsibility of the student and parent to schedule the session of their choice directly with DECHS. You are encouraged not to wait until the last minute to attend.

Deadline

All completed applications should be submitted before the final deadline. No Tyro Middle School staff member has the authority to extend a deadline for any reason.
