TRIO Upward Bound (rising 9th graders only)

Trio Upward Bound of Davidson Davie Community College is recruiting rising 9th graders who would be interested in participating in the program. Students attending high school at WDHS and who are accepted into the program will receive a variety of support and educational opportunities throughout their high school experience.

 

 

Freshmen whose parents did not get a four year college degree

Students who will need scholarships to pay for college

Students who want to go to college

Students with good behavior

Students with a GPA of 2.5 or higher (mostly A's and B's)

 

 

All field trips and out-of-state trips are FREE (this includes tours of colleges)

Students get extra support to be successful in high school

Students have access to college courses for credit at a four year college

 

 

Tutoring

Lunch and Learn at West Davidson once monthly

Campus Tours

Cultural Enrichment Activities such as ziplining and a trip to New York City

Community Service Opportunities
