About Mrs. Myers

My name is Jamie Myers. I earned my Bachelor's degree in K-6 Education from Appalachian State University and my Master's degree in K-12 Special Education from North Carolina State University. I am passionate about creating an engaging, supportive classroom environment where every student can thrive. I believe in building strong partnerships with families to help each child succeed, both academically and personally. Communication

We use Class Dojo Messaging to stay connected throughout the school year. This tool allows me to send quick reminders and important updates directly to your phone. You do not need a smartphone to receive messages, but if you do have one, the free Class Dojo app (available on iPhone and Android) also lets you send messages to me.

Classroom Expectations

At TMS, we believe that a positive classroom environment begins with shared expectations. In our classrooms, students are expected to be Ready, Respectful, and Responsible at all times.

Be Ready: Arrive on time, stay in your seat, and have all materials ready to begin learning, including a charged Chromebook.

Be Respectful: Keep food and drinks put away, use quiet voices, and honor the classroom expectations. Treat your classmates, teacher, and learning environment with courtesy.

Be Responsible: Bring all necessary belongings with you and take them when you leave. Keep your hands to yourself and follow directions promptly.
