At Tyro Middle School our goal is to "Make Every Move Excellent". Within the TMS Student Services Office, we provide counseling, referrals, support, resources, information, and crisis response to students through the various aspects of our work as counselors. I am proud to be a graduate of West Davidson High School. I also attended school as a student at Tyro Middle and I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor’s in Secondary Education (English). I am currently licensed as a School Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor by the State of North Carolina. I am also certified as a Mental Health Specialist by the American School Counselors Association. I have thirty eight years of combined experience as an educator and a licensed counselor (and seventeen years with Davidson County Schools). In addition to serving the two grade levels listed above, I also serve as the Homebound Coordinator for TMS and as a member of the Student Assistance Team.
